Sunday’s action was just as exciting with Mike McCombie rolling his saloon, Adam Low riding the pit bend wall whilst Ryan Wright and Johnny Woods were in the midst of a big shunt on the main straight. There were plenty of wrecked prostox cars during their races as the drivers fiercely contested their Scottish Open Championship.

BROWN IN UNSTOPPABLE FORM

On Sunday the action continued thick and fast and in the saloons the first heat was won by Brown from Hollett and Paul Tuppen. Heat two ended with Shevill Jnr just holding off Brown to win with Aldous in third place. Alexander then won heat three and he was ahead of Hollett and Honeyman.
The Gordon Barclay Memorial trophy race saw Brown on the move right from the start of the race and he quickly worked his way through the field to win from Aldous and Honeyman.
It proved to be a similar story in the Charlene Kingston memorial trophy where he again proved to be unstoppable and he was ahead of Alexander and Kieran McIvor at the chequer.

FOX WINS STOCK ROD FINAL

The stock rod drivers raced in an all in format with Michael Bethune and Peter Henderson the winners. In an exciting final Stuart Fox won the Hamilton Coaches final from Kerr Paterson and James Halkett but there were six cars crossing the finish line in close order.

GREEN WINS SCOTTISH OPEN

The prostox heats saw wins go to Stewart Aitken, Tam Melrose and then Aitken again and in an action packed final it was John Green who won from Kevin Morrison and Ian Taylor.
